Medical Scribe Neededfor for Orthopedic Hand surgeon in Tucson


Position Available:  Medical Scribe for Orthopedic Hand surgeon in Tucson
Description:  Part time work, paid $12 per hour, average 18 hours/week available.  Scribe follows doctor around throughout clinic and assists in documentation/paperwork – entering in history, physical exam info, procedure information.
Job Summary: Medical Scribes duties include performing all clerical and information technology functions for a physician in a clinic setting. This includes primary responsibility of the operation of the electronic health records. You also must be able anticipate physician needs to facilitate the flow of clinic. Medical Scribes must be discreet, tactful, and modest in performance of duties so as not to distract medical staff from patient care.  Good judgment, organizational ability, initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to be self-motivated are especially important when working as a Medical Scribe.  You must be adaptable and versatile since you will be responsible for many tasks. Good attendance is also an important element of this job since you will be hard to replace.
Ideal Candidate:  The ideal candidate is a quick learner, who is adept at operating a computer and typing.  Someone who could commit to 12 months at the position would be preferable, but 6 months would be acceptable.  Someone who could work as many of the hours as possible would be preferable.  Typically, 8 a.m. – p.m. 5 every Tuesday and Wednesday are the desired hours.  Someone who could start mid-August would be preferable. 

Position Benefits:  Dr. Rao enjoys teaching and this position is ideal for someone wishing to pursue a career in medicine, who would like more medical experience for their resume.  My fist scribe went on to medical school, my second scribe is going to PA school.
