Salary:  $10.50/hr, increases to $11.00/hr January 2019

Job Description:

Campus Health Service’s Counseling & Psych Services (CAPS) is hiring one student to do marketing and outreach for the student group, Wildcats Anonymous for the 2018/19 academic school year.  This position will have off school holidays including both winter and spring break.

   

The student group, “Wildcats Anonymous,” needs marketing to create awareness about the student substance abuse recovery group as well as to advertise events to the campus community.  In this job, you will be required to help create new events alongside our team of student group directors.  A state grant provides funding for this student position and a marketing budget.

The purpose of Wildcats Anonymous is to provide meetings, programming, and peer mentoring for students who identify as substance abusers in recovery.

Duties:

·         Attend weekly Wednesday, 4:00 meetings

·         Collaborate with student group members to develop and market activities, events and set up arrangements as needed.

Requirements:

• Must be a currently enrolled student at the University of Arizona
• Must maintain a 3.0 GPA
• Previous experience in Marketing/Outreach/Advertising
• Organizational skills
• Ability to work individually and with team

 Preferred:

• Have previous experience dealing with substance abuse issues in young adults
• Ability to work effectively and promptly with other students and CAPS advisors.
