DUTIES
This position serves as a medical scribe for Rao Plastic and Hand Surgery to scribe for Dr. Arun Rao, a plastic surgeon and Dr. Camela Pokhrel a hand surgeon. We are seeking a candidate to transcribe Dr. Rao’s and Dr. Pokhrel’s encounters with patients into the electronic medical record in the office. We are seeking a candidate that is conscientious and will be actively engaged during office visit with patients. It is essential to accurately record Dr. Rao’s and Dr. Pokhrel’s physical exam of the patient as well as documenting a care plan for each individual patient.QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
· Requires friendly personality and exceptional customer service & communication skills.
· Requires computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and Explorer.
· Requires excellent typing skills.
· Requires ability to perform multiple tasks with attention to detail, accuracy and organization.
· Requires basic knowledge of medical terminology.
· Requires ability to work within a team environment.
· Requires the ability to be friendly and courteous at all times especially under stress.
· Requires ability to handle confidential information and be trustworthy.
· Requires the ability to obtain information in a professional manner.
· Requires ability to exercise judgment in the resolution of problems encountered.
· Requires excellent attendance and punctuality
