Arizona Stressbusters & Wellness App: Stress-relief at your finger tips!

I'm forwarding information on the Stressbusters program and Free Wellness App.

1. Stressbusters began 20 years ago at Columbia University and has been at Arizona for 7 years.  Volunteers are trained to provide free 5-7 minute stress-relieving back rubs .  We're at the Main Library every Monday night from 7-8pm and at other locations by request.  Here's some info on our program (how to volunteer-deadline Feb. 3rd, request an event, and more): www.arizonastressbusters.com

2. Stressbusters also offers a free health & wellness app that provides "stress relief at your finger tips!" It's called Stressbusters Wellness. Look for the teal square and hand in the App stores.

It's free and loaded with tips & resources for wellness, and ways to reduce anxiety while building resilience. The Stressbusters app shares back-rub events and many health & wellness events open to students on campus. The app is a great personal resource for on-line students, too.

App Features and Content
  • Audio tracks in the Sonic Spa such as Quick Calm to help reduce stress and anxiety
  • Wellness events on campus
  • Exercises that work to restore focus and concentration
  • Tracks to help learn and practice mediation and mindfulness
  • Campus resources that help with depression, test anxiety, body image, LGBTQ info, etc
  • Reminders to set and achieve wellness goals
  • Emergency numbers
  • Campus groups
  • Resources
Please share this with your students. And, feel free to download the app for your benefit, too! Personally, I like the reminders, videos, and white noises options in the Sonic spa! If you have questions about the app or the back-rub program, please contact me.
