ASTEC Volunteering Program

My name is Marissa Lovett, and I am a Research Specialist at the Arizona Simulation Technology and Education Center (ASTEC). This semester we are launching an ASTEC Volunteering Program. We are looking for students with interests in medicine, education, research, and/or engineering who will be an asset to our team and will grow professionally from this experience. Each semester we will take on a new group of volunteers. Volunteers who demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and good communication will be invited to continue as an ASTEC volunteer and receive additional training for our education and research initiatives.

Volunteer Schedule:
Semester 1: Equipment Inventory, Training Observation, Lab Chores, 2+ Skills Training Sessions (This will be a weekly commitment ~1.5 hours/week)
Semesters 2-3: Mannequin Operation, Training Facilitation, Resetting Lab, Literature Reviews
Semesters 3+: Opportunities for research/teaching experience (This will be determined on an individual basis)

Application Process:
Fill out the Online Application by Friday 3/15https://goo.gl/forms/FUnHS503TxcIRLR72
In-person Interview: Time and Date TBD

After the online application, all applicants will be emailed and some will receive an invitation to interview. After the interviews, all interviewees will be emailed and those selected for the program will be scheduled for volunteer training/orientation. If you have any questions about the ASTEC Volunteer Program or the application process, please feel free to email me at Lovett1@email.arizona.edu.

Thanks,
