At Arizona Serve, we take pride in providing a meaningful, supportive experience for our National Service members. Our members participate in a unique, skill-based training program that qualifies them for a Certificate in Civic Leadership through Prescott College.

·         Serve with one of eight Tucson community schools as a specialist in enrollment, intake, and referrals to increase student and family access to programs and services they deserve

·         Serve with one of eight Tucson community high schools as a Resource Navigator to work directly with students to increase access to services and increase graduation rates

·         Serve with Higher Ground to support the Community Schools Initiative and increase high school graduation rates

·         Serve with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tucson to support the Community Schools Initiative by mentoring high school students toward college and career success

·         Serve with the Boys to Men Mentoring Network of North Central Arizona to expand school-based mentoring programs for adolescent boys

·         Serve with the West Yavapai Guidance Clinic Foundation to provide peer support to participants of the Senior Peer Prevention Program

·         Serve with the Tucson Urban League to facilitate the Financial Empowerment Center's participant orientation session and financial education workshops

·         Serve with the Tucson Urban League to create a Family Resource Center focused on families of young children

·         Serve with Make Way for Books to provide opportunities for thousands of children to enter school ready to read and succeed

·         Serve with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tucson to improve the quality of mentoring relationships between Bigs and Littles

·         Serve with Compass Affordable Housing to enhance residents' daily lives by improving their economic and community participation

·         Serve with Higher Ground to mentor middle and high school students to ensure they receive the focus and services they need to succeed

·         Serve with Literacy Coonects to coordinate and implement adult basic literacy and GED classes in Spanish

·         Serve with Literacy Connects to serve as a mentor to improve the literacy and language skills among infants, children, adults and families

·         Serve with Literacy Connects to provide program coordination and capacity building to the Reach Out and Read of Southern Arizona Program

·         Serve with the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona to support the farm and garden operations, community engagement, and program evaluation

·         Serve with the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona to support the Demonstration Garden through planting, harvesting, and program assessment

·         Serve with the Pima County Joint Technical Education District to mentor and support students in accessing, developing and supporting growing Workplace Employability Skills

·         Serve with Youth On Their Own to develop, implement, and evaluate a new tutoring program for homeless and at-risk youth

·         Serve with the Pima County Public Library to provide program support to 101 Ideas for Career Success to help establish a pathway to self-sufficiency for teens and adults

·         Serve with Higher Ground to mentor students to make positive choices in their lives and develop confident identities

·         Serve with the Metropolitan Education Commission to provide one-on-one peer advising and college preparation for low-income students

·         Serve with the Tucson Urban League to tutor and mentor students, co-lead afterschool classes, and follow-up with students' progress

·         Serve with Make Way for Books to support educator and caregivers in fostering infant, toddler, and preschool-age children's early literacy, language and communicationd development

·         Serve with the Primavera Foundation to promote literacy skills and raise academic achievement through tutoring with a special focus on reading

·         Serve with Changemaker High School to develop and implement activities and events that emphasize the core competencies of empathy, problem solving, teamwork, and leadership
