UA HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America)

Meeting Tuesday 3/8/2016 at 6pm!

When: Tuesday, March 8 from 6pm
Where: PAS Room 224 (Physics and Atmospheric Sciences building is by the 6th Street Garage)   
Dues: Please bring $25 to the meeting to become a nationally recognized HOSA member! Cash or credit card accepted. (If you are interested in becoming a member)
What: We will have two Physical Therapists presenting on their career paths and perspectives. This will be a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about this career or lifestyle. Even if you are considering the medical school route, this may be an insightful meeting as physicians work closely with PTs in helping their patients recover during/after a procedure or hospitalization. If you are considering going into PT, take advantage of this opportunity to network with professionals and seek more opportunities to get experience. Please come with your questions, as we will have a Q&A after the presentation!  

The speakers are Tracy Carroll, PT, MPH and Patrick Bouley, DPTTracy Carroll is faculty in the Department of Family and Community Medicine and a clinical preceptor at the University of Arizona's Refugee Clinic. She is interested in global health and works in two Arizona-Mexico border communities promoting health, safety and economic security. Dr. Bouley oversees physical and occupational therapy operations for Banner – University Medical Center Tucson. A lifelong learner and educator, Dr. Bouley serves the UA College of Medicine – Tucson in its physical therapy training of medical students as well as serving in the selection of medical students for admission to the College.
