The 24th Annual UROC Research Conference and Poster Session features exciting projects by 180 graduate school-bound undergraduate students from schools across the United States, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Latin America. These outstanding scholars participated in a 10-week intensive summer research experience under the supervision of a UA faculty mentor and conducted research in the sciences, social sciences, engineering, education and humanities.

UROC scholars also participated in graduate admissions, funding and presentation skills workshops in preparation for admission to top graduate programs. UROC recruits scholars based on high academic achievement and a desire to pursue graduate education. The UROC poster session is an excellent opportunity to support undergraduate research and recruit top students for UA master’s and PhD programs.

Twelve UROC research programs are participating and posters will be arranged by program:
  • Summer Research Institute (SRI)
  • Ronald E. McNair Program (McNair)
  • UROC-PREP Program, Access, Wellness, and Relational Determinants of School Success (AWARDSS)
  • Minimizing Health Disparities (MHD)
  • Maximizing Access to Research Careers (MARC)
  • Integrated Optics for Undergraduates-Native American (IOU-NA)
  • Biosphere 2 (B2), and ECE-CAT Vehicle.
