The Pre-Health Professions Advising Center is pleased to announce that we have an internship experience to offer students for Summer 2017, the Patient Experience Internship. 

PATIENT EXPERIENCE (PX) INTERNSHIP

The PX Internship is a patient contact experience, designed for students intending to apply to health professional programs who have completed at least one year of college (at UA or who have transferred to UA from another college/university).  This is a great opportunity to become familiar with the hospital environment and interacting primarily with patients, but also with the providers in the unit.  This is a 2-3 credit, upper division course offered Pre-Session, Summer Session 1 and/or 2 (you MUST commit to participating in 2 of the 3 summer sessions and may complete all three; one credit is earned per session). You will be billed through the Bursar’s office for the credits you take. The required number of hours is 45 per credit for which you are enrolled. 

The application opens March 3, 2017 and closes on March 11.
