LASC 393 and 493 Internship courses for Summer and Fall 2017

Internship season is in full swing! The LASC 393 and LASC493 internships are open for Summer Session 2017 and Fall 2017.  CLAS and LASC denote the College of Letters, Arts & Science located in Bear Down Gym.  Students must complete the online Information Session and the online application. After these are submitted and approved I will register them.

I always ask students from non-CLAS (other) majors to check with their advisor to determine if there is an internship course in their major or college that should be considered. And, as always, ALL students must confirm --with their academic advisor – how these units will fit in their degree program.

Helpful application steps for your students after they have secured their internship placement (LASC does NOT place students):

• Go to the CLAS website  clas.arizona.edu
• Click on the Internships tab
• Complete the online information session
• The student will receive an email with the link to the online application
• Complete the online application
• The students will receive confirmation that the application has been submitted AND steps to complete the REQUIRED Risk/Release form.

Complete and sign (handwritten signature required) the Risk/Release form, scan it and email to

<clas-interns@email.arizona.edu>

• NOTE:  using a scanning app for a smartphone or tablet works well for this purpose

A final reminder:  This is a standard UA course that applies to the degree.  Regular tuition/fees are assessed
