Description
JOB SUMMARY: Assists
in the provision of rehabilitative services. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists
with patient treatments as directed.1.2 Prepares treatment areas for
therapy and maintains in safe and sanitary condition. Maintains equipment
used in therapy interventions.1.3 Maintains adequate inventory of
supplies and equipment.1.4 Completes non-clinical and clerical tasks
as assigned.1.5 Exhibits and maintains skills required to use and care
for equipment: Pulse Oximeter, Blood Pressure Cuff /Pulse, Exercise Equipment,
Wheelchairs (including CADILLAC), Orthotics, Patient Beds, Tilt Table, Floor
Lift, Lite Gait, and Standing Frame. Demonstrates and instructs patient
and staff on body mechanics. 1.6 Manages tube lines (catheters, IV, oxygen).
Manages oxygen supplies and follows storage procedure.1.7 Identifies
contraindications for patient. Follows precautions for WB, Cardiac, Contact,
spinal precautions, and precautions with total joint replacements. 1.8
Provides set-up and/or application for therapy modalities as indicated and
directed by the therapist: Iontophoresis, Ultrasound, Electric Stimulation /
Interferential, TENS, Hot/Cold Packs, Ice Massage, Traction, Fluidotherapy,
and Compression.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Required:
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D.)
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:
Certification Required: BLS (Basic Life Support).
WORK
EXPERIENCE: Preferred: Knowledge of hospital environment. Customer service
experience.
