Description

JOB SUMMARY: Assists in the provision of rehabilitative services. RESPONSIBILITIES:  Assists with patient treatments as directed.1.2 Prepares treatment areas for therapy and maintains in safe and sanitary condition. Maintains equipment used in therapy interventions.1.3 Maintains adequate inventory of supplies and equipment.1.4 Completes non-clinical and clerical tasks as assigned.1.5 Exhibits and maintains skills required to use and care for equipment: Pulse Oximeter, Blood Pressure Cuff /Pulse, Exercise Equipment, Wheelchairs (including CADILLAC), Orthotics, Patient Beds, Tilt Table, Floor Lift, Lite Gait, and Standing Frame. Demonstrates and instructs patient and staff on body mechanics. 1.6 Manages tube lines (catheters, IV, oxygen). Manages oxygen supplies and follows storage procedure.1.7 Identifies contraindications for patient. Follows precautions for WB, Cardiac, Contact, spinal precautions, and precautions with total joint replacements. 1.8 Provides set-up and/or application for therapy modalities as indicated and directed by the therapist: Iontophoresis, Ultrasound, Electric Stimulation / Interferential, TENS, Hot/Cold Packs, Ice Massage, Traction, Fluidotherapy, and Compression.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Required: High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D.) 
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: Certification Required: BLS (Basic Life Support). 
 WORK EXPERIENCE: Preferred: Knowledge of hospital environment. Customer service experience.

Part-time female Caregiver needed

This job will start after the semester ends. Part time female Caregiver needed. I am a quadriplegic and professor at the U of A. This is a great job for pre-med or nursing students since you get lots of hands on clinical experience in a relaxed environment. I must admit I write several letters of recommendation a year for my gals going on to med school, nursing school, PA school and they get in.  There are four hour shifts in the morning (8am-12pm) and three hours shifts in the evening (5:30-8:30) available. Some caregiving experience recommended, although I do intensive training for my needs. Must have a car. I am flexible and will work with your schedule. Near Speedway and Alvernon. Attention Seniors returning to the Phoenix Metro area after graduation

An Arizona orthopedic hand surgeon is looking for a student interested in gaining experience in the medical field. This is a great opportunity to work with an orthopedic hand surgeon gaining vital clinical experience. The job description entails: rooming patients, obtaining vitals, obtaining patient histories, removing sutures, casting, and much more. There will also be opportunities to observe surgeries on a weekly basis.

The position as a student intern working for an orthopedic hand surgeon. You would be assisting the doctor during his clinical hours three days a week.

The Assessing Daily Activity Patterns through occupational Transitions (APAPT) study is looking for students this Summer and Fall 2016 who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in health and wellness research.

The ADAPT study is examining how job loss affects peoples’ daily routines, sleep patterns, activities, and eating habits. Findings from this study will help us to understand the relationships between stress, sleep, and obesity and to develop new related prevention programs. Dr. Patricia Haynes, a licensed clinical psychologist, is the principal investigator. The study is funded by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.
