Interested in gaining clinical experience with aiding the underserved population of Rocky Point? Mex-Zona may be a club for you! As the borders are just now opening up, the people of Rocky Point are in need of medical attention. We shadow medical providers once a month for a weekend in Rocky Point, Sonora, Mexico. Students will have the opportunity to shadow physicians or work triage depending on their Spanish proficiency. It is NOT a requirement to know spanish in order to join the clinic! The clinic will only be seeing patients one at a time as well as taking great lengths in decontaminating the clinic to minimize the spread of the virus. This is a great opportunity for students to gain more clinical knowledge as well as network with medical providers, medical students, and graduate students.
The new clinic dates are October 10th, November 14th, and December 5th.
