Last summer we had several physiology students
participate in the Prozkoumat program, a 10 week research experience in parasitology
in the Czech Republic. We are offering
the program again for the summer of 2017 (May 21st to July 29th, 2017) and would like to make Physiology
Majors aware of it. The deadline for
applications is a week from today (Monday, October 17), but I am hopeful that
some students will be attracted to the program and will apply. The program offers 6 hours of directed
research credit and an unparalleled opportunity to be part of the scientific
community in Czech while also learning about the history and culture of this
amazing part of the world.
