The WICHE-Professional
Student Exchange Program (PSEP) is available to students who seek
professional training in the following fields: DENTISTRY, OPTOMETRY,
OSTEOPATHIC MEDICINE, PODIATRIC MEDICINE and VETERINARY MEDICINE.
The deadline for WICHE PSEP
certification for training to commence in fall 2020 is October 15, 2019.

WICHE’s
Western Regional Graduate Program (WRGP) makes many high-quality
graduate programs available to master’s, graduate certificate, and Ph.D.
students, who are residents of the WICHE participating states and territories,
to enroll in some 700 high-quality programs at 56 participating
institutions. Additionally, if the desired healthcare program is not
offered through PSEP, students may check the Western Regional Graduate
Program. WRGP currently offers access to more than 140 high-quality healthcare-related
degrees offered by some 45 public institutions. Students who enroll in a
cooperating program outside of Arizona through WRGP pay resident tuition.

Additionally,
Arizona participates in the WICHE Western Undergraduate Exchange Program
(WUE). The Western Undergraduate Exchange provides opportunities for
students to attend a public college at the undergraduate level, outside their
home state, at a reduced level of tuition (150% of resident tuition.)
Arizona residents may attend undergraduate programs in all WICHE states.
The WICHE member states are Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Commonwealth
of the Northern Mariana Islands, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico,
North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

WICHE’s
newest exchange is the Internet Course Exchange (ICE) an alliance of
member institutions and systems that broadens student access to online courses
and programs. WICHE ICE enables students, through their
home institutions, to seamlessly access high quality online courses and
programs offered by other four-year and two-year ICE member institutions. Additional

Please
note that Arizona serves more students through participation in the WICHE
Student Exchange Programs than any other WICHE state. During 2018-19, 167
students were supported by Arizona to attend professional programs through
WICHE PSEP.
During
2018-19, Arizona received 348 WRGP students. .
During
2018-19, Arizona received 7,917 WUE students. Also, 1,614 Arizonans
attended out-of-state schools at the WUE rate. Within the WICHE region,
Northern Arizona University is the major receiving school at 5,751
students during 2018-19.
