The University of Arizona has now created a branch of the
American Medical Women’s Association
The AMWA is an organization which functions at the local,
national, and international level to advance women in medicine and improve
women’s health.
We achieve this by developing:
-
Leadership
-
Advocacy
-
Education
-
Expertise
-
Mentoring
Being the first year of the University of Arizona's AMWA
Pre-Medical Branch, we are eager to start this year strong with compassionate
members leading females in the medical field.
The AMWA chapter at the University of Arizona is excited to
promote these ideals to encourage future physicians to be proactive in
bettering women’s health and advocating reform. We have exciting events such as
bi-weekly meetings with unique speakers, fundraising, volunteering, mentoring,
outreach, and conference opportunities lined up for the 2019- 2020 school
year.
Join us in the AMWA student division as we stand together on
behalf of the needs and rights of women doctors and female patients, as future
physicians, scientists, and leaders in medicine.
