LASC 393/493 Fall 2017: 7 week and 5 week sections

It’s hard to believe we are closing in on the 4^th week of class!!

LASC 393 7 week and 5 week sections for Fall 2017 are open for enrollment. Students must complete the online Information Session and the online application. After these are submitted and approved I will register them in the appropriate course.

I regularly ask students from non-College of Letters, Arts & Science (CLAS) majors to check with their advisor to determine if there is an internship course in their major or college that should be considered. And, as always, ALL students must confirm --with their academic advisor – how these units will fit in their degree program.

Helpful application steps for students:

• Go to the CLAS website  clas.arizona.edu
• Click on the Internships tab
• Complete the online information session
• The student will receive an email with the link to the online application  (Check junk/spam folder if it doesn’t arrive in the Inbox).
• Complete the online application
• The students will receive confirmation that the application has been submitted AND steps to complete the REQUIRED Risk/Release form. (Check junk/spam folder if it doesn’t arrive in the Inbox).

Complete and sign (handwritten signature required) the Risk/Release form, scan it and email to clas-interns@email.arizona.edu.

• NOTE:  using a scanning app for a smartphone or tablet works well for this purpose

I will enroll the student in the course when all of the above is complete.

A final reminder:  This is a standard UA course that applies to the degree.  Regular tuition/fees are assessed
