research.
Application for Fall
2020 admission - Priority deadline January 10
The
Bridges to the Doctorate (B2D) Program aims to increase the
representation of individuals traditionally underrepresented in the
biomedical sciences at the doctoral level.
Read about our B2D students.
- B2D scholars will complete
their MS degree in a laboratory at Towson University and ultimately
enroll in a biomedical doctoral program at the University of Maryland
School of Medicine (UMSOM) or elsewhere.
- In partnership with UMSOM,
B2D scholars will participate in professional development and research
skills-building activities. Activities include research seminars,
workshops, a 4-week rotation in a UMSOM lab, doctoral-level coursework,
and GRE test prep.
- The B2D program provides
the educational and financial support to ensure a successful transition
to a biomedical Ph.D. program.
- While enrolled at TU, B2D
students are provided a tuition waiver, salary, and funding to travel to
research conferences.
