The Mortar Board National Senior Honor Society is offering two
scholarships to undergraduate UA students. Below are the descriptions and
documents for each scholarship. If you have any questions you can email Izzie

Jody Winn-Oden Memorial Scholarship: Any
current UA junior pursuing a pre-health curriculum (i.e. pre: medicine,
nursing, dental, optometry, etc.) via any major or are currently in the nursing
school are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Junior standing is defined
as having completed >60 units, and not graduating in May 2019. Selection
will be based upon the availability to convey outstanding character,
leadership, and service, as well as the display of sincere dedication to the
medical and healthcare profession. The award will amount to $400.
Mortar Board Scholarship: Established in 1983,
the scholarship is awarded annually to an individual who most exemplifies the
qualities that Mortar Board demands of its own members; namely, outstanding scholarship,
leadership, and service to both the University of Arizona and the
community. All UA students (of any undergraduate major) with sophomore standing
are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Sophomore standing is defined as
having completed 30 - 60 units. The award will amount to $500.
