Professor Emerita Anne E. (Betty) Atwater, a faculty member at the University
of Arizona for 34 years and Director of the Physiology Undergraduate Program
before her retirement in 2003.
Award
Amount: $1,000
(non-renewable)
Eligibility:

Must
be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
·
Must
be an undergraduate student who will enroll full-time at the University of
Arizona as a physiology (or pre-physiology) major for the 2019-20 academic
year.
·
Must
have completed a two-semester “Anatomy and Physiology” course sequence (e.g.,
PSIO 201 and 202 or equivalent) with grades of C or higher, as
required for admission to the physiology major
·
Must
have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
·
Must
have completed the Free Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA)
Note: Merit is the primary
consideration for this scholarship with financial need as secondary

Selection
Process:
The Department
of Physiology Scholarship Committee will select the winner of this
scholarship. The scholarship winner will be notified in late June or by
mid-July.
