The Department of Psychiatry SCAN Lab is looking for
several undergraduate research assistants seeking to earn credit for working in
our lab beginning Spring 2017.
"Dr. Killgore’s
Social, Cognitive, and Affective Neuroscience Lab" in the Department of
Psychiatry in the College of Medicine is seeking highly-motivated undergraduate
students interested in a research assistant-ship for the Spring and Fall
semesters of 2017.
This Research Assistant-ship is open to students seeking to obtain 3 units (10
hours/week) of Independent Study credit at the University of Arizona for
each semester of the assistant-ship. Selected applicants will be
responsible for data entry, organization/preparation of study materials,
assessment scoring, and various administrative tasks related to our
studies. Additional responsibilities will be assigned based upon applicant
qualifications and lab needs. Qualified candidates must successfully
demonstrate oral and written proficiency in English, strong organizational
skills, problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for attention to detail.
Professionalism and proper etiquette are an absolute must. Previous
experience working in a research lab is not required. Multiple positions are
available. Preference will be given to applicants who possess the
aforementioned qualifications and have availability for at
least 1 full weekday or 2 half days during each week of the semester.
Honors students who are considering completing an Honor’s Thesis next academic
year are encouraged to apply.
