It
is that time of year again! NTEP (Northwest Tucson Emergency Physicians PC) will be starting the hiring process for new full
time and part time scribes for spring/summer
of 2017. We will be holding interviews from January until the
end of February. The deadline for emailing resumes is February 10th
2017.
The
application process:
2.
Upon receiving your cover letter and resume, the hiring committee will
review your information and you will receive a request for interview or a
rejection email within a few weeks.
3.
Should you get an email to interview then you will be given 3 dates and
times to choose from for the interview.
4.
Once the interviews are all completed (by the end of February) the hire
committee will meet in early March and determine hires and rejections.
5.
You will receive an email for hire or rejection in mid to late March.
6.
If you are hired you will be scheduled to fill out paper work and be
subject to a background check and drug screen. Once everything is completed
(scribe ‘credentialing’ takes no less than 5-6 weeks) then training will be scheduled.
*We
ask that all full time scribes are soon to be graduates (May 2017) or have
recently graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree and are looking to go to school to
for MD, DO or PA.
*Full
time scribes would be 12 shifts or more a month.
*The
part time scribes should be seniors that graduate after May 2017 (Dec 2017) or
starting their senior year in August 2017.
*Part
time scribes would be one shift a week or every other week.
*We
prefer that all scribes have prior PAID work experience.
· All
scribe positions start at $10/hr. with annual raises (providing a ‘pass’ grade
on annual review and monthly audits)
· All
FULL TIME scribes are eligible for benefits through our parent company
EmCare.
· All
FULL TIME scribes are eligible for PTO through our parent company
EmCare.
· All
scribes are given 2 meal options in the cafeteria a day. Each meal has a
monetary limit.
· All
scribes will be expected to work at Vail Freestanding Emergency Department (ED), Northwest Medical
Center ED and Oro Valley ED. Please note that should any other freestanding
emergency rooms open with NTEP, scribes will be utilized in those facilities as
well.
· We
utilize both personal and pool scribes.
· Our
hours vary but are usually no longer than 10 hours per shift.
· We
utilize an electronic medical record (EMR)
As a scribe, you are
given the unique opportunity to observe the Emergency Room from the
perspective of a physician. Working side by side with our wonderful team of
doctors gives you a chance to observe the thought process that goes into the
care of each patient. Our physicians enjoy teaching and are generous with their
advice and experiences. In addition, becoming a scribe with NTEP can help
strengthen you as an applicant--97% of our scribes have moved on to
medical or PA school.
Thank
You,
