Meeting Tuesday
3/8/2016 at 6pm!
When: Tuesday, March 8 from 6pm
Where: PAS Room 224 (Physics and Atmospheric Sciences building
is by the 6th Street Garage)
Dues: Please bring $25 to the meeting to
become a nationally recognized HOSA member! Cash or credit card accepted. (If
you are interested in becoming a member)
What: We will have two Physical Therapists presenting on their career paths and perspectives. This
will be a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about this career
or lifestyle. Even if you are considering the medical school route, this may be
an insightful meeting as physicians work closely with PTs in helping their
patients recover during/after a procedure or hospitalization. If you are
considering going into PT, take advantage of this opportunity to network with
professionals and seek more opportunities to get experience. Please come with
your questions, as we will have a Q&A after the presentation!
The speakers
are Tracy Carroll,
PT, MPH and Patrick
Bouley, DPT. Tracy Carroll is faculty in
the Department of Family and Community Medicine and a clinical preceptor
at the University of Arizona's Refugee Clinic. She is interested in global
health and works in two Arizona-Mexico border communities promoting health,
safety and economic security. Dr. Bouley oversees physical and occupational
therapy operations for Banner – University Medical Center Tucson. A
lifelong learner and educator, Dr. Bouley serves the UA College of Medicine – Tucson
in its physical therapy training of medical students as well as serving in the
selection of medical students for admission to the College.
Look forward to
seeing you at the meeting!
Best,
Pareena Kaur
UA HOSA President
