FYI
Hello!
We are reaching out to ask that you make students aware of
Design Your Search. This course is for students who are in, or might soon be
in, an active job or internship search (seniors in need of a credit or
graduating in August, incoming juniors & seniors). Enrollment is low for
both summer sections, and yet it’s a perfect time to be learning these valuable
skills.
The course is open to students from all majors and was created
to support students as they begin searching for and applying for professional
opportunities. Ultimately, students will be able to present themselves
professionally through their application documents (resume, cover letter, etc.)
and in an interview as well as engage in networking, create effective online
profiles, and strategically plan and organize their job search.
Here’s some information to pass on to interested students:
- SBS 411: Design Your Search is perfect way to kick-start your search for a job or internship. You'll gain knowledge about timelines, resources, and expectations of a successful search and reflect on how your personal skills have value in your desired career path.
- Details: 1 credit hour, online, 7-week summer session course (offered summer sessions I and II)
Thank you for your assistance reaching students who would
benefit from the course!
