My friend Yassin Hamzaoui was in contact with you about our
club MexZona that we want to spread the word about to get more active members.
MexZona is a University of Arizona club that has been
holding monthly clinics for the underserved community of Rocky Point, Sonora,
Mexico for the past fifteen years. These clinics provide this population with
services like dentistry, physical therapy, general consults, and surgery. We
are in need of Spanish speaking students who are looking to gain clinical
experience but all students are welcome to join. MexZona holds no meetings and
the only requirements to attend a clinic is to join the MexZona listserv and
respond to the monthly email as quickly as possible. Take the time to look at
the attached flyer for more information on transportation, cost, how long the
stay in Rocky Point is, where we will be staying, and a few other FAQ.
Our stay in Mexico is in the safest section of the whole
city. In the entire 15 years there has not been a single person that has been
hurt, lost, or gotten in any other kind of unfortunate incident. Travel to a
different country comes with questions and concerns, so before giving up on
this opportunity be sure to ask questions and check our flyer out!
Thank you and have a great week!
