We work in a research lab in the University of Arizona Department
of Psychiatry that is currently recruiting for a study exploring a novel
treatment for PTSD/traumatic stress symptoms. If possible, could you please
send out our study information through the Physiology listservs? Please let me
know if you have any questions.
This is the information that we would like to be included in the
email with the attached flyer:
Traumatic Stress Study
What’s Involved:
· Three
visits to Banner UMC
· Cognitive/emotional
testing
· Two brain
scans, during which you will rest quietly while “pictures” of your brain are
taken using functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI)
· Morning
light exposure at home
· Wear an
activity monitor and complete a sleep log
Who May Be Eligible to Participate:
· People
ages 18 - 50
· Individuals
who have experienced traumatic stress of a PTSD diagnosis within the last 10
years
· Must be
right-handed
· English
as a primary language
· No metal
objects in your body
