My name is Rachel Brown, and I'm a PhD student
in the Cognitive Neuroscience of Language Lab at the UofA. I'm looking for
people who are able to participate in an experiment on
campus. It is an electroencephalography (EEG) experiment where
you read English sentences and answer questions about them. It takes 2 hours in
total and will be completed in the Psychology Building Rm 113 at the
UofA. Participants will be compensated with $20 cash.
However, there are some criteria. You have to be:
· affiliated with the UofA
· native speaker of American
English that had not been exposed to any other language before age 6
· Right-Handed
· not taking medications
directly impacting the brain (anti-depressants, epilepsy medication, etc).
If you are
eligible, please visit https://arizona-linguistics.sona-systems.com/, create an account, and sign up for the "Reading EEG Experiment". Information about signing-up can be
found here: https://linguistics.arizona.edu/research-opportunities. You can also email me at rachelbrown@email.arizona.edu for more information.
Best,
