I am in a lab within the U of A Psychiatry Department that is currently recruiting for a research study exploring a possible intervention for PTSD/traumatic stress symptoms. We were wondering if we could ask you to send out our study information through the listserv or share the information during one of your meetings. We can also send or distribute flyers of our study if you want.

The U of A SCAN Lab is conducting a longitudinal study that’s looking for participants that have experienced a traumatic event. Details about the study are below:

What’s Involved

-3 visits to the University of Arizona

-Cognitive/emotional testing and brief sleep test

-Two-2-hour Magnetic Resonance Imaging brain scans

-Morning light exposure at home

-Wear an activity monitor and complete a sleep log

Who May be Eligible to Participate

-People ages 18 – 50

-Witness or exposure to a traumatic event in the past 10 years

-People with traumatic stress or a PTSD diagnosis within the last 10 years   

-Must be right-handed

-English as a primary language    

-No metal objects in your body

Participants will be compensated up to $1200 for their time

An Institutional Review Board responsible for human subjects research at The University of Arizona reviewed this research project and found it to be acceptable, according to applicable state and federal regulations and University policies designed to protect the rights and welfare of participants in research.

Are you interested in assisting with a research project this summer?

Objective of The Study Group – University of Arizona:  For the purpose of providing information regarding the value of orthopaedic procedures, we currently collect, evaluate, manage, and communicate the outcomes of clinical applications of evidence-based orthopaedic practice for program evaluations, quality initiatives, and research projects at Banner University Medical Center – Tucson/South.

Objective of the Orthopaedic Outcomes Internship Program:  The objective of the first semester of the Orthopaedic Outcomes Internship Program (OOIP) is to provide  students with the opportunity to assist with the collection of sensor data for ascertaining functional outcomes and survey data for ascertaining patient-reported outcomes, to introduce the skills required to conduct clinical research, and to provide an opportunity to preview and/or propose program evaluations, quality initiatives, and/or research projects in which these skills could be utilized.
